About Tidewater Flooring & Licensing
Tidewater Flooring LLC is a licensed home improvement contractor in the Commonwealth of Virginia (DPOR License #2705152491). We provide flooring products, consultation, and installation services in Virginia Beach, Hampton Roads, and surrounding areas.
Estimates, Quotes, and Binding Agreements
Submitting a request through our website does not guarantee final pricing, product availability, or installation scheduling. Any estimate is subject to site measurement, product selection, and final approval by Tidewater Flooring LLC. A formal agreement, proposal, or written contract is required before work begins.
Change Orders and Modifications
Any changes to the original scope of work, including but not limited to additional materials, labor, or timeline adjustments, must be documented in a written Change Order signed by both the customer and Tidewater Flooring LLC. Such changes may result in additional costs.
Installation and Site Conditions
Flooring installation may be affected by site-specific conditions, such as subfloor condition, moisture issues, or existing structural concerns. Tidewater Flooring LLC is not liable for pre-existing site conditions or damage to hidden utilities (pipes, wires) unless caused by our gross negligence. If unforeseen conditions (e.g., mold, water damage) are discovered, we reserve the right to pause work until these conditions are resolved at the client's expense.
Payment, Deposits, and Mechanic's Lien Rights
Payment terms, including deposits and balance due dates, will be specified in your individual contract. In accordance with Virginia law, Tidewater Flooring LLC reserves the right to file a Mechanic's Lien against the property for which services were provided if payment for labor or materials is not received in accordance with the signed agreement.
Delays and Force Majeure
Tidewater Flooring LLC is not responsible for project delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control, including, but not limited to, supply chain issues, manufacturer shipping delays, inclement weather, or other events beyond our control.
Product Information and Variations
Flooring is a natural or manufactured product; variations in color, texture, and batch lots may occur. Actual product appearance may vary from samples based on screen settings, lighting conditions, and manufacturer variations. We are not liable for claims based on minor aesthetic variations.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing accurate project information, ensuring property access, and clearing personal belongings from work areas. Failure to provide access or accurate information may affect project timelines and pricing.
Limitation of Liability and Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by Virginia law, Tidewater Flooring LLC is not liable for damages arising from website use or reliance on general information without a written contract. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tidewater Flooring LLC, its owners, and employees from claims arising from your misuse of our website or violation of these Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any disputes will be handled in the appropriate courts located in Virginia.
